Vote for your favorite TV characters

In a quest to identify and celebrate the greatest characters on TV, Zap2it.com has launched the "Greatest TV Characters" poll. The interactive poll asks Zap2it's audience to sound-off and vote on their favorite small screen characters of the current decade across a range of unique categories.

Zap2it visitors can select their most beloved in a variety of categories. In all, polling will take place in 44 diverse categories including the following:

Best College Student
Best Super-Human

Zap2it's expert editorial staff chose the character categories and chose the
nominees, all of whom have appeared in new episodes of a TV series since January 1, 2000. Now they are putting the vote directly to Zap2it users.

"One of the biggest reasons our users love TV is the compelling characters
they get to watch each week," said Joseph Kapsch, Editorial Director of
Zap2it.com. "The best ones develop over time, and as this happens, TV fanatics
just like us develop relationships with them. The 'Greatest TV Characters' poll
gives Zap2it readers an opportunity to support the people, stories and shows
they love."

and users can participate throughout the summer. Votes will be officially
counted and winners in the various categories announced on August 24,
2009.
